Clashes

A clash (冲) is the general principle of two opposing earthly branches colliding, destabilizing each other and exposing the hidden stems inside them. The six clashing pairs are well attested as a set. Like combinations, clashes describe interaction and tension within the chart and across timing layers, not predicted events.
